I am definitely prejudiced towards this book, after all I WAS and will always be Halsted. The author was also the D.M. in this amazing adventure. With a bit of literary license which brings the character to life in the pages of the book, it still remains Halsted, I won't spoil it for his readers as to what happens, I hope to see the rest of the story set down soon. I really enjoyed The Scepter of Acbar. The title made it sound a tad bit cheesy, but once I started this piece, I really got into it. The characters were compelling, and the images were very strong. If you like this kind of fantasy, I would also recommend The Marble Key.
An exciting tale that puts you right in the action as you embark on an adventurous journey filled with magic and mystery. The author does an outstanding job of keeping the reader turning the pages as you are put inside the head of a Guardian of Velora as he attempts to discover a way to save his city. Can't wait to read the second part of the story to see what will become of the adventurers.
While not my usual genre, a friend recommended I read this book. I downloaded it and had it sitting on my for a time. Decided to open it yesterday so I can tell my friend my thoughts on the book. I have to admit, I have not been able to put it down. Well done Mr. Cerett, very well done.
This book is thrilling. The vivide discriptions drive you to keep reading. I am in love with each character and I can not wait to see what happens next. I will be the first to buy the next part. Ok Edward, I am waiting; no pressure.
