Mahad Basari wanted nothing more than to marry Sadia Lemore. They had been dating for several months and they had been intense months. He didn’t feel it was possible for him to love her any more. The fact that his father did not approve and refused to speak to him until he broke up with her was of no consequence; he wanted, needed and would have Sadia as his wife. Also the new interlopers on the scene have their agendas but they are powerless in the face of his love.

Sadia had never loved anyone more than she did Mahad and he treated her the way she had always dreamed of being treated but the lack of acceptance of her by his father was still a concern. She was very close to her mother and father and could not imagine not having them as part of her life or having their blessings, but giving Mahad up was not an option.
Her prayer was that LOVE really could Trump Culture!

Wow! Every time I read a new story by “Auntie Angelia”, I am just blown away, and I’ma tell you why: She writes love stories for a demographic that we just don’t read about in modern day romance. I’m talking about grown-ass adults over 35 who are in love, but more importantly, who are sexual. The loving don’t stop once you hit 40. It only gets stronger and deeper. This lady can write erotica without beating you over the head with it.

In this installment, Mahad and Sadia’s love continues to grow stronger as their commitment to one another grows deeper. We actually see the blending of their cultures (he’s Muslim, and she’s Christian) through their religious and cultural customs. Auntie writes short, quick reads that are full of passion, good dialogue, and just a feel-good vibe. When you are short on time, but at the same time want to sink into something, pick up the Love’s Culture series. I highly recommend that you start with Love’s Culture first to get the background of the major players that lead up to Love Trumps Culture. You will not be disappointed.

LOVE TRUMPS CULTURE LOVE'S CULTURE II edition by Angelia Vernon Menchan Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

This is a sexy love story. Mahad and Sadia have made it to my favorite couples list, I loved and enjoyed how she showed her love for him.

The new characters that were introduced added spice to the story; I hope Harry and Dona will have a more meaningful relationship. Great short story and I can't wait to see what happens next in the lives of Mahad and Sadia. Ms. Angelia Menchan has me hooked on this series and that is saying a lot, because I normally don't get into short serials.
I wanted to know if the author would answer the many questions swarming in my thoughts about Mahad and Sadia. What I didn’t expect was for their relationship to be tested at a new level in Love’s Culture II.

I have a new found appreciation for Sadia’s mom, Lynn. At first I couldn’t grasp the character because she appeared to be jealous and didn’t support her daughter’s dreams. But now Lynn Lemore is a force to be reckoned with. A force that even Alton, Sadia’s father, questions from time to time. When it comes to Alton’s baby girl, no one better jeopardize her happiness. Despite Sadia’s calm and mild-mannered ways, she has her mom’s feisty, no-nonsense attitude. Readers, you will get a glimpse when she comes face to face with a musician who’s married, but enjoys his playboy ways.

Mahad has enough to deal with regarding his father’s apprehensiveness, and the last thing he wants is for his personal life to be disrupted. Now that Dona Donaldson is back in Jacksonville her eyes are set on the man she never forgot, but she’s a married man’s playmate. Having a hard time accepting she was nothing more to Mahad than “past time”, she has no limits proving him wrong. Until…

Sadia goes beyond the unthinkable to gain the respect of Mahad’s family. But will her efforts go unrecognized when his father and sister arrive in the U.S. unannounced? A picture perfect moment was when Sadia greeted his father in his native language. Not only was he rendered speechless, but Mahad was also unaware. At that moment, Mahad knew Sadia had his heart forever with or without his family’s approval. For Sadia she needed, wanted his father’s blessing because of the love shared with her own parents.

The question remains, can love surpass cultural differences?

Great read!! I'm so glad his father finally wised up!!
I loved this story, and it seems I can't get enough of Mahad and Sadia. Beautiful story of true love with just enough heat. I'm addicted to Ms. Menchan's style.

Mahad and Sadia’s love story picks up right where we left them in book one, and what a beautiful, at times, sad story it was…But I am so glad to see that they came out stronger as a couple, and that True Love really trumps cultural differences….
Simply put, Angelia Vernon Menchan knows how to bless readers. Every single time I read one of her books, I become invested in the lives of each character. I connect with the main characters, and get to know the supporting characters in a way that is quite intimate. For example, when Dona appeared as a threat to Mahad and Sadia's relationship, I was completely put off by her. But then, I got to know a bit about who she truly was, and even felt pity for her as she made the necessary changes in her life. And then there was Mahad's family, namely his father. So much real life and emotions to carry readers through. Loving the series, and looking forward to more.
The question still floats on air...."Can Love truly Trump Culture?" If you're Mahad Basari and Sadia Lemore, it most certainly can. In this installment, we see a different side to Sadia's mother, Lynn. At first she comes off as a bit jealous and non supportive of her daughter. But at a deeper look, she's quite protective of her and will speak her mind on the obstacles that threaten her daughter's happiness. The new characters introduced in this installment add another bit of flavor. What truly makes love triumph is Sadia's dedication to the relationship. When Mahad's father appears out of the blue, Sadia not only impresses him but her actions pulls at Mahad's heartstrings. Giving 100% to the relationship is what makes Love Trump Culture.
